Safe River beaches a short drive away for swimming and tanning - lovely white sand and the lifesavers.
Basic shopping in Coja, 15 minute drive.
Also in Arganil about 20 min drive. Tabua a larger town is about 25 min depending on speeds etc, easy drive on new quiet highway, accessed from just outside Coja.
Coimbra the largest and closest big city is about 40 min by car, with some great shopping malls.
Lisbon is about 250 klm from here.
